Washington, D.C. – The more Pennsylvanians learn about John Fetterman’s pro-inmate history, the worse it gets. A new report from The Washington Free Beacon explains how Fetterman voted to release a convicted murderer who stabbed an innocent man to death with garden shears. Fetterman said he was “happy” that the man got released. This is yet another instance of Fetterman putting prison inmates before victims.

Let’s take a look at Fetterman’s pro-inmate record:

  • Fetterman voted to free a man convicted of murdering a woman with scissors.

  • Fetterman put a cop killer ally on the Pennsylvania board of pardons.

  • Fetterman successfully pushed for the release of a convicted murderer who called himself “son of the devil” and bragged about killing several people.

  • Fetterman voted to release a man who was convicted of murdering a teenager for money to buy heroin.

John Fetterman’s willingness to release convicted murderers from prison is dangerous for Pennsylvania. He’s said that his goal as Lt. Governor is to “let as many people out as possible” and he’s argued that releasing 1/3 of Pennsylvania’s prisoners wouldn’t make anyone less safe. A spokesperson even defended Fetterman’s vote to release the convicted killer saying the man was innocent.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “John Fetterman is too dangerous to represent Pennsylvania. Crime is already on the rise in cities across Pennsylvania thanks to Democrats’ soft-on-crime policies. Things would get much worse if John Fetterman and his pro-inmate agenda were elected to the U.S. Senate.”
