Just a few months ago Senator Amy Klobuchar said the Supreme Court “can’t function with 8 justices.” But today she quickly changed her tune and fell in line behind the obstructionist leadership of Chuck Schumer by vowing to block Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
Klobuchar is favoring political games over the functionality of the Supreme Court, further emphasizing that her #WeNeedNine advocacy was anything but sincere.
“This move to join liberal Democrats’ filibuster on the Supreme Court nominee is just another example of Amy Klobuchar’s hypocritical record,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Klobuchar said the Court cannot function with just 8 justices but now she is showing Minnesotans that she wasn’t sincere about having a functioning Supreme Court.”
