Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar is making Minnesotans pay the price for her partisan obstruction and continuing to block appointees to the federal judiciary.

Yesterday, Klobuchar attempted to deny that she was obstructing President Trump’s judicial nominees, but the facts say otherwise. Minnesota Supreme Court Associate Justice David Stras was nominated for the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals on May 8th. More than three months later, he’s yet to receive a confirmation hearing because Amy Klobuchar has refused to sign the “blue-slip” necessary for his nomination to proceed. It’s time for Senator Klobuchar to get her act together and do the job Minnesotans elected her to do.

“Senator Klobuchar’s partisan obstruction is a sad example of Washington Democrats refusal to do their jobs,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Amy Klobuchar’s actions continue to deny qualified judges, like Associate Justice Stras, from serving our country.”
