Washington, D.C. – Earlier this week, Lasry was caught lying on his website about his attempt to paint himself as a supporter of the working class. After the media and the NRSC called him out for lying, his campaign walked back the claim and rewrote portions of its website.

The original language said that Lasry “led negotiations for a historic project labor agreement that included provisions to hire women and minorities that are often underrepresented among union workers. He also included a $15 minimum wage for all arena workers once Fiserv was built.”

Even though Lasry and Bucks executives, if anything, fought the deal every step of the way, the new language includes the same wording about Lasry’s efforts in the negotiations but “clarifies” the minimum wage issue.

“The Bucks also included an agreement to implement a $15 minimum wage for Fiserv Forum workers no later than 2023. The Bucks achieved this goal early, raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour in 2020.”

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Lasry was caught lying and he knows it. Despite claiming he still led the Bucks negotiations to support the working class, the truth is he had to be dragged kicking and screaming to live up to the deal he agreed to with his workers. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again, what else will Lasry lie about to get ahead?”
