Claire McCaskill just can’t let a day go by without saying something outlandishly out of touch with reality.
At a campaign event today, McCaskill told supporters that she “can’t take anything from a lobbyist” and that the (made up) rule she was citing was “the first thing that was done when I went to the Senate.”
Meanwhile in the real world, Claire McCaskill ranks as the third largest recipient of lobbyist cash in all of Congress, having taken more than $358,000 in lobbyist donations in 2018 alone. Chalk this one up as just another in a long line of things in politics McCaskill claims to hate…at least when they don’t benefit her.
