Claire McCaskill really says some out there things when she’s trying to defend her lavish lifestyle or her out-of-touch liberal positions. But on Saturday, she made perhaps her most bizarre statement to date.
At the same town hall meeting where she told voters that “normal” people can afford the $3 million private plane she uses to travel, McCaskill responded to a question about defunding Planned Parenthood by calling the nation’s largest abortion provider “the very entity that is helping us prevent abortions.” That’s right. Claire McCaskill defended her votes to continue funding an entity that performs over 300,000 abortions per year by arguing that they prevent abortions. Good luck with that argument Senator McCaskill!

“From her belief that ‘normal’ people can afford private planes to her statement that abortion clinics prevent abortions, it’s clear that Claire McCaskill is completely out of touch with Missouri,” said NRSC Spokesman Bob Salera. “Missourians deserve a Senator who will stand up for their values, not an out of touch liberal like Claire McCaskill.”
