Washington, D.C. –The long-running trend in Nevada continues.
New voter registration numbers are out from the Secretary of State’s office, and Republicans outpaced Democrats by a nearly a 2:1 margin, slimming the Democrats’ registration advantage to only 3%!
The momentum in Nevada is heavily on the Republican side and it’s not hard to see why. Currently, Joe Biden’s approval rating in Nevada is underwater by 12 points (42/54), and Catherine Cortez Masto has tied her fortunes to his by voting with him 95%.
The impact of inflation, rising gas prices, the baby formula crisis, and more have been huge on Cortez Masto with polling showing her trailing potential rivals.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “The movement of new voters to Republicans should be expected in a midterm election, but the degree and speed to which it is happening in Nevada should deeply rattle Democrats and Catherine Cortez Masto. The Biden/Cortez Masto agenda has left Nevada behind and voters realize that. Also, it would be helpful to Democrats if Nevadans could think of one thing Cortez Masto has done in the Senate, but they cannot.”
