Obama-Clinton Super PAC spending for Claire
As Claire McCaskill continues to struggle with her liberal base, national Democrats are coming to her aid to try to wrangle Democrat voters.
The Post-Dispatch reports that Priorities USA Action, a Super PAC founded by Obama staffers that unsuccessfully boosted Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, is joining Chuck Schumer’s Senate Majority PAC in spending big on digital ads on McCaskill’s behalf. National Democrats’ worry about turnout for McCaskill is just the latest evidence that her campaign is having base problems. Just last week, McCaskill told supporters that her campaign is struggling to find volunteers and that her campaign offices “feel depressing.”
If there’s one thing McCaskill and her liberal allies know, it’s that they can’t win Missouri without big turnout from their base. And right now all signs point to big problems for Claire.
The NRSC went up with a new radio ad in Montana this morning, hammering Senator Tester for failing to show up to work in the Senate.
