Washington, D.C. – Joe Biden’s nominee to oversee border security is a radical sanctuary city activist and border crisis denier. Chris Magnus has a long history of defending sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce immigration laws.

During his confirmation hearing, Magnus denied the border crisis SIX TIMES. According to Biden’s radical CBP nominee, it “doesn’t really matter” if you call it a crisis.

SEN. YOUNG: Do you believe we have a crisis at the Southern Border, yes or no?

MAGNUS: Senator, I’m not sure – does it really matter whether we call it a major challenge or crisis, a big problem?

Today, Maggie Hassan, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Michael Bennet voted in favor of Biden’s radical sanctuary city activist. This vote is further proof that vulnerable Democrats are all in on Joe Biden’s amnesty and open borders agenda.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “Biden’s border security nominee doesn’t believe that cities should enforce immigration laws. But that didn’t stop Maggie Hassan, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Michael Bennet from voting to put him in charge of enforcing U.S. immigration laws. Today’s vote proves that they aren’t interested in fixing the border crisis. They’re only interested in supporting Biden’s amnesty and open borders agenda.”
