Washington, D.C. – Democrats are planning to release the text and Congressional Budget Office (CBO) score of their “Build Back Broke” agenda today.

Not only will the bill increase taxes on the middle class and cut taxes for the rich, but it also provides payouts and amnesty for illegal immigrants.

According to the CBO, about 6.5 million noncitizens who live in the U.S. would go from being unlawfully present to lawfully present in the Build Back Broke legislation. Most of these non-citizens are in the U.S. because they crossed the Southern Border illegally.  In other words, these illegal immigrants would be a part of the largest-ever amnesty effort in history.

Not only would these millions of people get legal status in America but also would receive plenty of money to start their new life cutting the immigration line.  As the Wall Street Journal reported in October, the Biden Administration was in talks to offer certain illegal immigrant families $450,000 per person.  It’s a report that Joe Biden called “garbage,” but like most things, he was wrong.

In the Build Back Broke bill, Senate Democrats want to eliminate the prohibition on expanded child tax credits to illegal immigrants. Eliminating this prohibition would pay illegal immigrants $10.5 billion:

Real Clear Politics: In an analysis conducted in October, my colleague Karen Zeigler and I estimated that illegal immigrants with U.S.-born children would receive $8.2 billion from the new CTC. However, we had assumed that the new program, like the old ACTC, would require children claimed as dependents to have Social Security numbers (SSNs). But reconciliation (page 1452, line 14) would permanently repeal this requirement.

The Build Back Broke bill is bad for our country, and Hispanics know it too.  According to new polling from the Wall Street Journal, Hispanic voters have moved significantly toward the GOP – a telltale sign that Democrats’ attempts to appeal to this voting bloc by appeasing those who break the law is not a winning strategy.
