Just hours after his first TV ad was given a “Mostly False” rating by Politifact, Sherrod Brown is facing another bad fact check for lying about Jim Renacci in his new ad.

The Columbus Dispatch takes the ad’s false claims about Renacci to task, saying:

“The commercial is based on a repeated Democratic claim that Renacci cheated on his state taxes. In fact, there is no evidence to indicate that Renacci did anything wrong.”

And concluding:

“It is puzzling that in his quest for a third term, Brown has launched his campaign with harsh negative commercials against his opponent as opposed to talking about his own record since 1993 as a member of the U.S. House and Senate. A couple of weeks ago, Brown aired another misleading commercial suggesting Renacci had been a lobbyist as a member of Congress.”

Unfortunately for Brown, despite his long, long career living off of taxpayer salaries, he has virtually no accomplishments of his own to speak of.
