At last night’s debate, Kyrsten Sinema abandoned all patriotism and common decency when she refused to apologize for a radio interview where she encouraged Americans to join the Taliban.

Reporters tried three times tied to get a straight answer from Sinema after the debate, only to have her flat out lie about her comments, blaming it all on “edited videos” and “quotations out of context.”

Just one problem: Nothing was edited. Nothing was taken out of context. And they were her own words as unearthed by CNN and Fox News last week.

Again, here are her words, “I don’t care” if you want to join the Taliban. “Go ahead.” (Audio file here)

You’d think Sinema would want to make up for her treacherous comments, but with records showing she supported a terrorist sympathizer who helped the mastermind of the World Trade Center bombing pass messages to his terrorist cell in the Middle East and her repeated comments denigrating U.S. troops, Sinema’s already made it obvious where she stands.

In case you missed it, here’s the exchange…

REPORTER: Did you in fact suggest that people should be able to join the Taliban?

SINEMA: [no answer]

REPORTER: THAT’S NOT AN ANSWER! Did you say that?

SINEMA: Well she’s taken all my quotations out of context as you are well aware…

REPORTER: Yes or no: did you encourage people to join the Taliban?

SINEMA: Of course not. (smiling)
