After Senate Republicans passed historic legislation that cuts taxes for Minnesota families and businesses, voters deserve to know where Tina Smith stands on the Republican tax plan.
Given Smith’s long history of supporting higher taxes, Minnesotans should fully expect her to fall in line with Senate Democrats and their radical plans to raise taxes. As Lt. Governor, Smith was responsible for raising taxes on everything from gas to clothes.
“Minnesotans deserve to know if Tina Smith will be anything but a rubber stamp for D.C. Democrats’ liberal agenda,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “Voters can’t afford electing another Democratic insider committed to saddling them with higher taxes.”
