Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, an AP profile on Senator Raphael Warnock laid bare his re-election strategy: tell voters that he will be a voice for all Georgians while hiding the fact he’s an “unapologetic advocate for Democrats’ agenda.”  The latter part is true, of course, as he votes with Chuck Schumer 100% of the time.

Let’s take a look at what he’s done as U.S. Senator for GA:

  • He helped run the MLB-All Star Game and draft out of Atlanta, costing the state $100 million;
  • He supported S.1 – the “Corrupt Politicians Act” – which would dump $25 million into his campaign account;
  • He bashed Georgia’s popular election security law, calling it “Jim Crow in new clothes” only to flip-flop on voter ID weeks later;
  • And has continued his concerning anti-Israel record.

Sadly, he and his staff denied a one-on-one interview for the friendly profile to offer more insight into his lockstep liberal votes. When you say one thing to voters, yet do another thing in Washington, answering questions becomes a very dangerous game.

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Raphael Warnock is the most reliable Democrat vote in the U.S. Senate for Chuck Schumer, far out of step with Georgia voters. Yet, it’s clear that Warnock would rather have Georgians not know that about him.  The delicate balancing act Warnock is trying to play is an ineffective long-term strategy and the more he votes, the quicker Georgians will realize he doesn’t belong in the U.S. Senate.”
