As a member of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, Tim Kaine will get his chance to join his fellow extreme liberals’ attempt to create gridlock today for President-elect Trump’s cabinet nominee for Education Secretary, Betsy DeVos.
While many of Kaine’s colleagues have said they would give DeVos a fair shake, the Virginia Senator is slated to join ranks with two of the most fringe members of the Democratic Party — Elizabeth Warren and Socialist Bernie Sanders.
While the American people are looking for real results in Washington, Kaine would rather play partisan politics that only please his liberal base. It’s time for Kaine to get real and get to work for all Virginians.
“Tim Kaine must still think he is running for Vice President because he is using Hillary Clinton’s strategy of pandering to the extreme base,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “It’s time for Tim Kaine to put partisan politics aside and do what is best for our country’s educational system.”
