In a new Quinnipiac University swing state poll released today, Pat Toomey is 10 points ahead of “Shady” Katie McGinty.
In Pennsylvania, Sen. Pat Toomey is beating Katie McGinty, former chief of staff to Gov. Tom Wolf, by 10 points. Toomey has consistently led in polls against McGinty as well her Democratic primary challenger, former Rep. Joe Sestak when he was polled by Quinnipiac.
The poll also shows that while Toomey’s favorability rating is near 50 percent, McGinty is lagging far behind at 29.
In reviewing McGinty’s recent campaign activity, it should come as no surprise that she’s falling out of favor with voters:
-
Toomey’s efforts to stop dangerous sanctuary cities earned praise while McGinty refused to oppose the policy.
-
Shady Katie’s true motivation behind running for Senate was highlighted in “Shady Katie’s Cash Grab.”
-
McGinty shamelessly politicized the worst terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11 and was given a “mostly false” by Politifact.
- Shady Katie earned wall-to-wall coverage after lying about being the first in her family to go to college. She was even granted a “pants on fire” rating by Poltifact.
