That’s what Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe told The Washington Post today when asked why he’s not attending Ted Strickland’s fundraiser next week, as was previously scheduled. McAuliffe is the subject of an FBI investigation into whether donations to his gubernatorial campaign broke the law.

It looks like Strickland really wants to make sure he gets some of McAuliffe’s dirty campaign contributions…

This isn’t too surprising. Desperate times call for desperate measures – and Ted’s Strickland’s fundraising is desperate.

Strickland has consistently struggled to raise money for his retread campaign. In fact, he’s been named a “fundraising loser,” and his chief fundraiser saw the writing on the wall and jumped the sinking ship late last year.
