Take a look:
-
As The Philadelphia Inquirer endorsed one of Katie McGinty’s primary opponents they said, “…party officials as high as President Obama have endorsed her candidacy. But her campaign has had trouble making the case that she is ready for the Senate.”
-
A column in The Delaware County Daily Times reprimanded Katie McGinty for calling Pennsylvanians who reside outside of Philadelphia “misinformed” during an interview with the Jewish Exponent, “This is a legitimate investigation into what Katie McGinty thinks about a huge swath of her desired constituents. Does she really think they are stupid, easily influenced rubes who are susceptible to anti-Semitic propaganda?”
-
One of McGinty’s primary opponents highlighted the hard truth about her resume, “Fetterman noted that McGinty has never been elected to office, finished last in the Democratic primary for governor when she ran in 2014 and failed to become chairwoman of the state party even with Wolf’s backing.”
-
McGinty has resorted to desperate attacks on her primary opponents that are being called “very wobbly” by a fact check conducted by The Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
- McGinty’s use of the revolving door was brought into question by The Allegheny Front, “But opponents, including many Republicans, have criticized McGinty’s involvement with private energy companies after she left the DEP. She was a board member for NRG and Iberdrola—energy companies with natural gas and wind investments—after leaving DEP in 2008.”
And finally, what really matters – democratic primary voters have no faith in Katie McGinty. From a letter to the editor published in The Allentown Morning Call:
“I am baffled and annoyed that the Democratic Party, my party, is wasting money to support a weak primary candidate in Pennsylvania, Katie McGinty. Why not let the voters of Pennsylvania decide who the Democratic candidate should be, without monetary interference in support of a candidate who is weak as evidenced by the fact that she is running out of money?…
