WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new video and microsite today after failed Senate candidate Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced he will run in the Ohio Democrat primary for U.S. Senate. The video highlights Brown’s radical record and how he sold out to the far-left instead of fighting for Ohio. Brown will be running in the Democrat primary against entrepreneur and philanthropist Fred Ode, who plans to self-fund his campaign.

“Ohioans just rejected Sherrod Brown’s radical agenda of allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports, fueling mass illegal immigration, and failing to protect Ohio’s good-paying manufacturing jobs,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “If Brown wins his primary, we remain confident voters will reject him again in 2026.”

Brown spent decades putting Democrats’ liberal agenda above delivering for Ohio families. Brown:
- Supports tax hikes on Ohio’s middle class, but was late to paying his own.
- Voted against President Trump nearly 75% of the time and said that many of the “Americans that support President Trump” are racist and that “a racist for president… works for them.”
- Defended and echoed the “Defund The Police” movement, saying policing reinforces institutionalized racism and questioned how the government funds police.
- Supported Joe Biden’s mandate to force Ohioans to buy expensive electric or hybrid vehicles.
- Took hundreds of thousands of dollars from Big Pharma and their lobbyists who fuel the opioid epidemic.
- Fueled Joe Biden’s open borders, supports mass amnesty for millions of illegal aliens and supports dangerous sanctuary city policies.
- Supports radical transgender ideology and wants to force women to compete against males in sports
- Requested three quarters of a million dollars in federal earmarks for a group that hosted an MLK Day drag show story hour for children.
- Is a partisan hack who voted with Joe Biden nearly 100% of the time and endorsed the most liberal presidential nominee in U.S. history, Kamala Harris.
- Supports the radical, job-killing Green New Deal and transitioning away from fossil fuels.
