WASHINGTON, D.C. — A new poll shows Texas Senator John Cornyn leading scandal-plagued Ken Paxton. The Texas Public Opinion Research poll has Cornyn at 32% and Paxton at 26%. The polling shift comes as Paxton’s problems keep piling up, including new reporting from Politico that he did not report property in Florida or Oklahoma on his federal financial disclosure.

Incredibly, Beto O’Rourke and Jasmine Crockett, who are not even in the race, are leading the Democrat Primary field. The poll shows O’Rourke at 27% and Crockett at 26%, both significantly higher than Colin Allred’s 13% and James Talarico’s 7%.

“The Texas Democrat Primary is shaping up to be a Mario Kart race with serial candidate Beto O’Rourke and crazy radical Jasmine Crockett leading Colin Allred and James Talarico,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “As Texans learn more about these radical Democrats and scandal-plagued Ken Paxton, they will continue to rally behind John Cornyn.”
