Haley Stevens is showing her true colors yet again by voting against two anti-crime bills in the House of Representatives.
The common-sense measures crack down on violent offenders including those charged with murder, first-degree sexual abuse, burglary in the first degree, robbery while armed, or assault with intent to commit any such offense. It also restricts the ability of local judges to be more lenient with criminal offenders.
Haley Stevens is so committed to opposing President Trump, she is willing to put innocent Michiganders visiting our nation’s capital in danger. She has even gone as far as opposing Mike Rogers’ calls for President Trump to deploy the National Guard to Detroit to assist local law enforcement with high-traffic crime.
“Haley Stevens and Democrats are so out-of-touch that they would rather stand with criminals than ensure American families feel safe in their communities and when visiting our nation’s capital,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Michiganders know that Mike Rogers will work in lockstep with President Trump to crack down on crime while Stevens puts politics over their safety.”
