WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Rep. Chris Pappas (D-NH) voted in favor of shutting down the federal government in the House of Representatives. Pappas voted to shut down critical government services, delay paychecks to military service members, risk veterans’ healthcare, and slash resources for law enforcement.
“By voting to shut down the government, Chris Pappas is making clear he would rather score political points with his radical Democrat base than keep critical services open and our troops paid,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Granite Staters deserve better than a Senator who is willing to put politics over the needs of New Hampshire’s working families.”

- In 2021, 2022, and 2023, when Joe Biden was President, Chris Pappas voted in favor of continuing resolutions to keep the government open and working for the American people.
