Today, Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) voted to shut down the federal government, delay paychecks to military service members, and risk veterans’ healthcare. Ossoff and Senate Democrats’ partisan bill would have reversed the Working Family Tax Cuts, saddled taxpayers with hundreds of billions of dollars in new spending, eliminated a $50 billion rural hospital fund provided by the Working Family Tax Cuts, increased waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicaid, and forced taxpayers to fund benefits for illegal immigrants.
“Jon Ossoff is a pro-Trump-impeachment radical leftist who wants to risk veterans’ healthcare and delay pay to military service members instead of delivering for them, all because of his incurable Trump Derangement Syndrome,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “Georgia veterans deserve better than a shameless liar who repeatedly uses them as political props but votes against their interests when it matters most.”

- Ossoff lied to Georgia veterans about “championing” veterans’ legislation and used veterans as political props. But Ossoff had nothing to do with the bill.
- Ossoff lied about fake “Medicaid cuts” forcing a rural Georgia hospital to close its labor and delivery service. The anti-Trump CEO of the out-of-state company that owns the hospital had begun closures under President Biden.
- Ossoff also voted to shut down the federal government earlier this year.
