WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new ad today highlighting the disgusting Trump-hating rants of Ken Paxton’s longtime consigliere and personal lawyer Dan Cogdell. Cogdell, who Paxton chose to represent him going as far back as 2015, said President Trump is the “greatest threat to democracy,” compared him to the devil, and said he wants to be a “dictator.”

“They say you know a lot about a person from who their friends are, and when Ken Paxton needed a personal lawyer, his first call was to a deranged Trump-hater,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “Paxton chose to line the pockets of a man who spread the same kind of lies and radical left rhetoric that resulted in the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump and the murder of Charlie Kirk.”

Cogdell: “One minute I am defending Ken Paxton. I like Ken personally…love Paxton.”

Voice Over: “But really loves lying about Trump.”

Cogdell: “Trump has pardoned f*cking criminals. He has pardoned more criminals than any other president ever did in their entire terms, even two-term presidents.”

So, why should Texans trust Ken Paxton?”
