Roy Cooper was one of Kamala Harris’ first calls after learning Joe Biden was dropping out of the 2024 presidential election. According to Harris‘ new book, Cooper enthusiastically told her, “Before you say anything, I’m all in.”

“It’s no surprise that Kamala Harris immediately called her friend, Roy Cooper — a top contender to be her running mate — after learning Biden was dropping out of the presidential race,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “Cooper and Harris are both radical leftists who support deadly soft-on-crime policies, biological males competing in women’s sports, and sanctuary city policies that let criminal illegal immigrants free on North Carolina streets. Like Harris, Cooper’s radical agenda will be rejected by North Carolinians in 2026.”

Roy Cooper is a radical leftist who proudly stood by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden:

  • Cooper called Kamala Harris a “friend,” and he was “a top choice to serve” as her vice presidential running mate.
  • Roy Cooper endorsed Kamala Harris — the most liberal nominee in US history — for president.
  • Cooper called President Trump, who North Carolina voters supported in three elections, “an existential threat to our democracy and our nation.”
  • After Joe Biden’s disastrous debate, Cooper said Biden had “cemented his place among our nation’s finest Presidents.”
