Today, the Senate is expected to vote on funding the federal government. There’s no doubt that Chuck Schumer’s hand-picked candidate in Ohio, sell-out Sherrod Brown (D-OH), would join his former colleagues to shut down the government with Chuck Schumer. Senate Democrats’ demands include $1.5 trillion in new spendingfunding free healthcare for illegal aliens, and cutting $50 billion in funding for rural hospitals provided by the Working Family Tax Cuts.

“There’s no doubt that Sherrod Brown would sell-out to the far-left and join his former Senate Democrat colleagues to shut down the federal government just so they can demand taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “In 2026, Ohioans will reject sell-out Sherrod Brown again for putting the far left’s agenda over delivering for them.”

  • Eliminate Republican-passed fraud protections for taxpayer benefits like Medicaid and SNAP
