Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) voted in favor of a clean government funding bill today, standing with President Trump to keep the government open for Nebraska families. Fake Independent Bernie Sanders (I-VT) voted with Senate Democrats to shut down the government today, and as Chuck Schumer’s hand-picked candidate, there’s no doubt fake Independent Dan Osborn would have done the same. Schumer and his fake Independents’ radical demands to keep our military paid and veteran services functioning include $1.5 trillion in new wasteful spendingfunding free healthcare for illegal aliens, and cutting $50 billion in funding for rural hospitals provided by the Working Family Tax Cuts.

“Pete Ricketts is standing with President Trump and fighting to keep the federal government open to protect military families’ pay, provide certainty to farmers and ranchers, and defend the largest rural healthcare investment in history,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “Chuck Schumer’s handpicked candidate, Dan Osborn, would have joined other fake independents in the U.S. Senate to shut down the government with Democrats because he cares more about pushing the radical left’s agenda than delivering for Nebraska families.”

Fake independent Dan Osborn is Chuck Schumer’s hand-picked Senate candidate and said in an interview he wants Democrats to shut down the government. Schumer’s Shutdown would:

Democrats are demanding $1.5 trillion in spending increases to end the shutdown and:

  • Cut $50 billion in rural healthcare funding
  • Restore Biden-era free healthcare for illegal aliens
  • Expand taxpayer-funded Medicaid to unemployed, able-bodied individuals without dependents under 14 years old
  • Eliminate Republican-passed fraud protections for taxpayer benefits like Medicaid and SNAP.
