WASHINGTON, D.C. — Ken Paxton’s personal lawyer and “longtime consigliere” is a Trump-hating Democrat who wants to defend Charlie Kirk’s assassin in court. In a new video, Paxton’s lawyer Dan Cogdell says, “I’d defend him [Charlie Kirk’s assassin] all day long,” and goes on to say, “I’d defend him in a second.”
“If Ken Paxton is choosing a Trump-hating Democrat who wants to defend Charlie Kirk’s killer in court to be his longtime lawyer and advisor, who else is he letting cloud his judgment and decision making?” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
