On Day 17 of the Schumer Shutdown, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new digital ad visualizing Chuck Schumer’s “Every day gets better for us” comment made in Punchbowl News last week. The video was created in-part using artificial intelligence software and includes an AI disclaimer.

“While the National Guard and federal workers go without paychecks, Chuck Schumer is celebrating alongside radical activists with smug comments like ‘every day gets better for us,'” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez. “Senate Democrats have voted 10 times to keep the government closed and voters deserve to see and hear Schumer’s bragging themselves.”

Federal workers and National Guard members missed paychecks this week as Democrats rejected a clean funding bill for the 10th time. The shutdown came after Axios reported Schumer had been “closely coordinating their government shutdown strategy with outside liberal groups.”
