WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new digital ad today slamming Iowa Democrat Senate candidates Nathan Sage, Josh Turek, and Zach Wahls for supporting Chuck Schumer’s government shutdown. Federal funding for SNAP benefits is set to run out this Halloween weekend, leaving nearly 270,000 Iowans, including an estimated 104,000 children, without the assistance they need to put food on the table.

“This Halloween, parents will struggle to feed their children, while Nathan Sage, Josh Turek, and Zach Wahls continue to support keeping the government shut down to give illegal aliens free healthcare,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
