WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released the following statement after Haley Stevens touted the endorsement of repeat loser candidate Carl Marlinga:
“Haley Stevens is down so bad she needs any support she can get, including the endorsement of a ‘Pedophile Protector‘, repeat loser, and accused bribe taker,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
Carl Marlinga is a “Pedophile Protector”, repeat loser, and accused bribe taker:
- Carl Marlinga was named partner at a law firm that claimed authorities “lead and manipulate” children in sex abuse cases to get “incriminating statements.”
- As the former Macomb County Prosecutor, Marlinga was “indicted on charges he helped a convicted rapist win a new trial in exchange for contributions to his 2002 run for Congress.”
- Marlinga ran against John James in Michigan’s 10th Congressional District twice and lost both times. Top House Democrat operatives bashed him earlier this year when rumors circulated he was considering a third run.
