In his first two months campaigning, Roy Cooper dropped $10,500 on a “high-end chauffeur service” and more than $70,000 on a campaign vehicle, according to a new report from Politico.
The heavy private transportation spend came after Cooper admitted he had to learn to drive again when he left the governor’s office. Based on the latest spending reports and Cooper’s recent X posts, the driving lessons must not have gone very well…
“Roy Cooper is an out-of-touch career politician who prefers to be driven around by high-end chauffeurs while North Carolina families are forced to use public transportation where young women get brutally murdered,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia. “Cooper’s being driven around while working families are forced to confront dangerous criminals.”
