WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) is standing with President Trump and helping deliver the President’s Peace Through Strength Agenda by voting for the National Defense Authorization Act today which delivers military pay raises, strengthens the job-creating defense industrial base, and eliminates wasteful and radical programs. Unlike Jasmine Crockett who voted against the NDAA in the House of Representatives.
“Texas’ veterans and service members know they can count on John Cornyn to deliver for them. Next year, Texans will reject crazy radical Jasmine Crockett and reelect John Cornyn to continue standing with President Trump and support our troops,” said NRSC Communications Director Joanna Rodriguez.
Senator Cornyn’s legislation included in the NDAA:
- Legislation to combat the CCP and require notifications of U.S. investments in technologies in China, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela.
- Legislation to provide law enforcement officers with trauma kits.
- Legislation to increase cooperation between the Department of War and Mexican military forces to combat cartels in Mexico.
- Legislation directing the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to increase counternarcotics collaboration, coordination, and cooperation between the U.S. and Mexico.
- Legislation to codify President Trump’s AI Action Plan and help the Department of War enhance defense innovation, workforce development, and AI readiness.
- Legislation to disinter Fernando V. Cota, an alleged serial murderer and convicted rapist, from the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at the request of his alleged victims.
