Today, Mike Rogers is joining Leader John Thune at the southern border to highlight how President Trump and Republican leadership in the Senate delivered transformational border security funding that helped end Joe Biden’s immigration crisis and protected communities.
Meanwhile, Democrats like Haley Stevens, Mallory McMorrow and Abdul El-Sayed are calling to abolish ICE.
“If Democrats like Haley Stevens, Mallory McMorrow, and Abdul El-Sayed had their way, they would return to Joe Biden’s policies of allowing millions of criminal illegal aliens and deadly drugs into our country. Instead, as Senator, Mike Rogers will ensure that our borders remain secure and Michigan communities are protected,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
Haley Stevens, Mallory McMorrow, and Abdul El-Sayed want to open our border and demonize ICE:
- Abdul El-Sayed wants to abolish ICE.
- In a now deleted post, Abdul El-Sayed called U.S. border agents “white supremacists” and accused President Trump of using ICE to “terrorize neighborhoods.”
- Mallory McMorrow called President Trump’s mass deportation efforts a “boondoggle” that is “nothing more than security theater that actually makes us LESS safe.”
- Haley Stevens voted against the largest investment in border security in American history.
- Haley Stevens accused President Trump of turning “our communities into war zones,” and called ICE “masked, armed, and untrained agents.”
