WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is condemning comments made by Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed following a series of explosive reports showing his appeasement of terrorist sympathizers and renowned antisemites.
“Abdul El-Sayed’s public pandering to terrorists and antisemites is disqualifying for any elected office, especially the United States Senate,” said NRSC Chairman Tim Scott (R-SC).
Abdul El-Sayed’s record of appeasing pro-terrorist groups:
- El-Sayed mourned the death of the Ayatollah in leaked audio telling his staff he wanted to avoid making a statement on the death of the Iranian dictator because “there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad“.
- El-Sayed is scheduled to campaign with known antisemite, Hasan Piker, who thinks America deserved 9/11.
- El-Sayed struggled over whether to condemn the recent Synagogue attack targeting Jewish children, saying his statement was a “risk“.
- El-Sayed previously expressed support for a leader of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, a designated terrorist group.
- El-Sayed accepted donations from Nehad Hammad, the executive director of CAIR, which has ties to terrorist organizations. El-Sayed also talked to CAIR executives back in 2022 and was paid $5,000.
