Janet Mills and Graham Platner have been silent following the third assassination attempt on President Trump over the weekend, refusing to condemn one of the most abhorrent forms of political violence or take responsibility for encouraging it.

Graham Platner has egged on this violence by encouraging people to fight so-called fascism with a “good semi-automatic rifle”,saying he wanted to give the Republican Party a “battering“, and saying “don’t let them have a public dinner without getting yelled at.

Janet Mills has called President Trump a “bully” who is trampling on our rights

“It should be easy for any Senate candidate to condemn political violence in all forms, but Janet Mills and Graham Platner seem unable to acknowledge that their rhetoric fueled the hatred we saw over the weekend,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
