After his win in Maine, Bernie Sanders will be in Michigan today for the next round of his proxy war with Chuck Schumer. Sanders is hosting a rally with Abdul El-Sayed who is surging in his messy primary against Schumer-backed Haley Stevens and Michigan-hating Mallory McMorrow.
To mark the occasion, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released a new digital ad highlighting their progressive agenda wanting to implement Medicare for All, supporting the Green New Deal, pushing for higher taxes, and calling to abolish ICE.
“Bernie Sanders already defeated one Schumer-preferred primary candidate, and now he’s ready to do the same in Michigan. Sanders and Abdul El-Sayed are two peas in a progressive pod desperate to implement Medicare for All, enact the Green New Deal that would decimate Michigan’s auto industry, and abolish ICE,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
