Following explosive reporting exposing Graham Platner’s perverted past and moral depravity, Maine Democrats and national Democrat leaders are quietly distancing themselves from him and his scandals.
Elizabeth Warren, an early and outspoken supporter of Platner, dodged questions yesterday on his comments describing masturbating in public restrooms. Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries sheepishly followed suit. Today, the Maine Democrat Party abruptly canceled a rally set to feature Platner tomorrow in Bangor.
“Platner’s perverted public behavior is indefensible, and not even his closest allies will cover for him this time,” said NRSC National Press Secretary Bernadette Breslin.
“I think [Platner] is an issue,” said former Biden White House Press Office Chief of Staff Yemisi Egbewole. “ . . . [Democrats] all were well aware of the comments that he had made, and now those Democrats that stood behind him have to answer for that.”
