As Claire McCaskill prepares to bring her message to voters across Missouri, one subject she won’t be discussing is her luxury lifestyle.
McCaskill likes to portray herself as a simple “daughter of rural Missouri” when she’s back home, but while in D.C., McCaskill resides in a $2.7 million penthouse in D.C.’s exclusive CityCenter. When she purchased the unit it was the most expensive condo in the luxe development. This isn’t the first time McCaskill’s lavish lifestyle has drawn a sharp contrast from her campaign rhetoric. In 2011, McCaskill came under intense scrutiny after it was uncovered she was having taxpayers pay for her private plane. Seems that while Claire McCaskill is busy pandering to rural Missourians, she’s living the life of jet-setting multi-millionaire.
“Missouri voters can see right through Claire McCaskill’s phony down-home act,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “McCaskill’s lavish lifestyle and out-of-touch policies show she has no clue about the needs of hardworking Missourians.”
