A new New York Times-Siena poll predicts that if the midterms were held today, Republicans would keep control of the Senate.

The data reveal Republicans’ strength across key Senate battlegrounds as radical Democratic hopefuls stall in their bid to flip the majority.

“In an environment that historically creates headwinds for the party in power—and according to polling that traditionally favors Democratic candidates—Republicans continue to lead Democrats across Senate battlegrounds,” said NRSC National Press Secretary Bernadette Breslin. “While Republicans focus on lowering costs and taxes, Democrats’ vicious infighting and cratering popularity will cement their minority status this November.”

The poll shows Republican Senate candidates Jon Husted, Ashley Hinson, and Dan S. Sullivan leading in Ohio, Iowa, and Alaska, respectively, with Susan Collins polling within the margin of error against scandal-plagued Graham Platner.
