WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is releasing playing cards ahead of the Maine Democrat debate tonight. The playing cards highlight the failures of all the candidates fighting to take Graham Platner’s spot on the ballot for U.S. Senate.
Troy Jackson, Shenna Bellows, Nirav Shah, Jordan Wood, Dan Kleban, David Costello, and Paige Loud have all recently lost their bids for higher office.
“These loser Maine Democrats have all been rejected by Maine voters, or quit before even getting to the ballot box, and whoever gets the nomination will still be a loser when Susan Collins defeats them in November,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.
Maine Democrats: A Long Line of Losers:
- Troy Jackson — Fresh off a third-place finish in the Democrat primary to be Maine’s Governor just weeks ago.
- Shenna Bellows — Crushed by Senator Collins by nearly 40 points in 2014 before getting rejected yet again with a fourth-place primary finish just weeks ago.
- Nirav Shah — Couldn’t close the deal a few weeks ago, finishing as the runner-up in the Democrat primary for Governor.
- Jordan Wood — Bailed on a two-month Senate run only to jump into the 2nd District House race — where voters promptly handed him another loss just weeks ago.
- Dan Kleban — Folded his Senate campaign after two months at the request of DC Democrats to make way for Janet Mills, only to watch her lose to Nazi rapist Graham Platner.
- David Costello — Fresh off a third place finish behind Nazi rapist Platner and Mills in the Senate primary just weeks go.
- Paige Loud — Handed a bruising defeat when she finished last in the 2nd District House race.
