A new poll by the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has John Sununu leading Chris Pappas in the New Hampshire Senate race. This comes after last week’s UNH poll showed John Sununu taking the lead and support for Chris Pappas in both his primary and the general election waning.
“Poll after poll shows that Granite Staters are fed up with Party Line Pappas being a rubber stamp for Democrats’ radical agenda and they are ready to elect John Sununu in November,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee’s (NRSC) own poll has the race for New Hampshire’s open U.S. Senate seat at a dead heat between the two frontrunners in next Tuesday’s primaries — former Republican Sen. John E. Sununu and U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas, D-N.H.
The New Hampshire Union Leader obtained an exclusive copy of this poll done by Fabrizio, Lee & Associates of 600 likely general election voters from Aug. 27-30.
Sununu led with 37% to 36% for Pappas, which is well within the poll’s margin of error of plus or minus 4%.
In a memo to NRSC officials, pollsters Davis Lee and Travis Tunis said these results shatter the conventional wisdom that President Trump’s second midterm election makes Pappas the obvious favorite, should primary voters decide these two will face one another on Nov. 3.
“While the race is statistically tied and well within the survey’s margin of error, these results clearly challenge the prevailing media narrative that Democrats have a lock on New Hampshire. Instead, the findings show a highly competitive contest with a large pool of persuadable voters still in play,” they wrote.
