Mary Peltola’s fellow Democrats just opposed Republican-led legislation supported by Senator Dan S. Sullivan to protect Alaskans from higher energy costs. This is the second time Senate Democrats blocked the bipartisan legislation.
Peltola claims she doesn’t want data centers to “strain the grid for existing ratepayers,” but her record in the House proves she’ll always vote with her Party over what is best for Alaska.
“Mary Peltola couldn’t get one bill signed into law and will always side with Lower 48 liberal Democrats against protecting Alaskans from higher energy costs,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
Senator Dan S. Sullivan is fighting to lower costs for Alaskans. The bipartisan legislation ensures that:
- Alaskans are protected from higher utility bills.
- Companies pay their own way while building the AI infrastructure America needs.
- Companies provide the power they consume and safeguard local water and natural resources.
- America has the superiority we need to compete with China without passing the costs onto families.
Reminder: Peltola pushed Lower 48 liberals to lock down Alaska energy and cheered on their reckless spending that sent costs soaring.
