Two weeks after Hamas’ barbaric attack on 10/7 and before the ground war in Gaza even began, Abdul El-Sayed and his closest ally, Hasan Piker, were already accusing Israel of genocide.
As reported by Jewish Insider:
Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza as early as two weeks after Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attacks on Israel, before Israel’s ground invasion began nearly a week later and well before any other mainstream political leaders used the term.
“At the heart of the genocide being perpetrated against innocent Palestinians today is the Islamophobic trope that *all* Palestinians must be aligned with Hamas,” El-Sayed said on X on Oct. 21, 2023. “It’s the most murderous form of the post-9/11 lie our country told to take civil liberties from Arabs & Muslims then.”
Hasan Piker accused Israel of genocide just days before, posting on X on October 17, “this is a genocide, we are watching a genocide happen in real time and the western leaders and the media are championing it while yelling at those who call it out.”
“Abdul El-Sayed wasted no time accusing Israel of genocide just days after October 7th, yet cannot condemn the IRGC,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell. “Abdul continually panders to terrorist groups and it should deeply trouble every single American.”
