Mary Peltola is refusing to participate in another debate today and instead is hiding from Alaskans. Peltola has now refused to participate in four of five debates that Senator Dan S. Sullivan publicly committed to attending.
This is a common theme with Peltola who hardly ever showed up to work on behalf of Alaskans, failed to deliver, and then cashed out as a Lower 48 lobbyist.
- Peltola missed 18% of votes in the state House despite being the highest-paid member of the body. When Peltola did show up, she repeatedly fought to bring back Alaska’s state income tax and billed taxpayers for Lower 48 vacations.
- Peltola missed 17% of votes in the U.S. Congress. When she did show up, Peltola cheered on Lower 48 liberals locking down Alaska energy, but couldn’t get a single bill signed into law.
- Peltola missed nearly 37% of her Bethel City Council meetings.
- Despite never delivering for Alaskans, Peltola repeatedly cashed out as a lobbyist throughout her failed political career.
Peltola has repeatedly refused to publicly address her disgusting comments and actions:
- Calling a black veteran a “n*gger.”
- Wishing a fellow Alaskan died of a botched abortion.
- Mentally and physically abusing her staff.
“Maybe Mary didn’t have her cue cards ready. Either way, Peltola has no record to run on and a litany of baggage she refuses to address. It’s no wonder Peltola refuses to defend her pathetic record,” said NRSC Regional Press Secretary Nick Puglia.
