Abdul has serious ties to designated terrorists organizations:
- He accepted $115,000 from associates of CAIR, a designated terrorist organization.
- He signed a letter in support of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and encouraged them to “purge the media and police”.
- His mother’s employer was caught wiring money to Osama bin Laden, the Taliban, and Hamas.
- His father-in-law is the former president of CAIR’s Michigan chapter and a top donor to El-Sayed’s super PAC.
- His father sits on the board of a charity with Muslim Brotherhood ties and got caught funneling cash to Saddam Hussein, and has been raided by the FBI and the U.S. military.
- His sister-in-law appeared on the terrorist watch list.
- His sister posted multiple times on X that their family “has long been” Muslim Brotherhood and that she had an “amazing” talk with her mom about her “activism in the Muslim Brotherhood.”
- The animal shelter he oversaw killed over 4,000 dogs and cats.
Abdul is a radical socialist:
- He supports abolishing ICE, called for defunding the police, and has participated in “abolish-prisons” forums—once alongside a convicted sex offender and murderer.
- He has repeatedly attended Democratic Socialists of America events, and organizers called him “a longtime friend of Detroit DSA” and welcomed him as an official member.
- He wants Michigan taxpayers to foot the $32 trillion bill for his government-run healthcare plan that would eliminate Obamacare while providing coverage for illegal immigrants.
- He has called for phasing out all fossil fuels in Michigan, a policy that could cost the state over 150,000 jobs. He even called cars “the modern-day cigarette” and signaled his support for dismantling Michigan’s auto industry.
