Tonight, Bennet once again silenced the voice of the American people by obstructing a vote on the Iran deal – a pressing matter of national security. That follows last week’s vote to stand in the way of an up-or-down vote on the measure.
Bennet knows he’s on the wrong side of the American people. The latest Pew Research Center poll revealed that a mere 21% of Americans support the deal – and Bennet still came out in support of a "flawed" deal with Iran.
Bennet apparently knows no limits to his willful ignorance and his efforts to protect President Obama. Tonight’s vote and the one before it even put Bennet at odds with…himself. Earlier this year he supported the Nuclear Agreement Review Act to give Congress a vote on the merits of the deal.
Once again, Michael Bennet has failed the people of Colorado – and he can expect to be held accountable for transparently turning his back on them in order to stand with President Obama.
