WASHINGTON – Today, House Republicans rolled out a comprehensive tax relief bill, in the first step toward providing a much needed tax cut to the middle class. It’s time for each Senate Democrat to decide whether they will work to relieve the tax burden on American families, or if they will continue to engage in the mindless obstruction that has come to define their party.
While Democrats are grandstanding and busy obstructing President Trump’s agenda, too many American families are struggling to pay their mortgages or to plan for their retirement on top of everyday expenses. The American economy and well-being of American families should be the top-priority, regardless of party. Republicans are working on a plan that will cut income tax rates for hardworking Americans, revitalize our economy, and create jobs. Will red state Democrats join their Republican colleagues to help the American people? Or will they stand with Washington liberals like Elizabeth Warren and Chuck Schumer who would like nothing more than to keep taxes and spending high?
