WASHINGTON – One year from today, Americans will go to the polls for the 2018 midterm election. And while Republicans are poised to pass a historic tax cut for American families, all Senate Democrats have to show is chaos.
The national Democratic Party is once again dealing with internal strife after Donna Brazile’s revelation that the DNC was in the bag for Hillary Clinton before the 2016 primary even began. And Senate Democrats are completely rudderless, with the Washington Post awarding their dishonest tax rhetoric four Pinocchios and observers calling their stated goal of retaking the majority “impossible.” At the same time, red state 2018 Democrats have run into their own issues back home. With problems ranging from Joe Donnelly’s outsourcing to Mexico to the fact that no one knows who Bill Nelson is – these red state Dems are in real trouble across the country. With one year to go, Democrats need get their act together before they face voters. But it’s looking more and more certain they are heading for yet another electoral disaster in 2018. Check out these headlines proving what a nightmare 2017 really has been for Democrats:

“The 2018 midterm is just one year away, and it is clear Senate Democrats still haven’t learned anything from their 2016 disaster,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “While Senate Democrats flail, Republicans are working for the American people – delivering a conservative judicial system, rolling back job-destroying regulations and delivering real tax relief that will put more money in middle-class families’ pockets. Voters won’t forget that next year.”
