WASHINGTON – The Senate’s tax relief plan is projected to create nearly 1 million new jobs according to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation. But despite projected job growth and increased income for American families, Democrats remain committed to keeping the failed status quo in place.
Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has gone so far as to say the historic tax legislation would spell “political doom” for Republican lawmakers. Given ten Democrats are running for reelection in states President Trump won, the only politicians facing political doom are red state Democrats who refuse to create jobs and put more money in the pockets of middle-class families.
“There is no excuse for Senate Democrats opposing efforts to create nearly 1 million new jobs other than blind partisanship,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “While Senate Republicans continue to fight for middle-class families, red state Democrats are dedicated to following Chuck Schumer’s quest for complete obstruction.”
